lead ELECTRICIAN

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day function of the dome.
• Trains and coaches team members.
• Assigns tasks based on skill level.
• Assures team is clocking into accurate projects.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory.
• Executes plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning systems.
• Makes sketches showing electrical details for the job. 
• Ensures materials needed for projects are in stock and verifies materials are used for correct projects.
• Assists with decisions regarding hiring/terminations.
• Anticipates material and labor needs for upcoming projects.
• Supports and assists the team in completing projects on time.
• Works with Foreman regarding behavioral/work problems with team members.
• Works to develop a cohesive team and reduce turnover
• Knows and follows quality manual.
• Knowledge of painting, electrical savvy, ability to inspect the quality of welds
• Follows Falcon Structures’ policies and procedures, health and safety standards, and complies with appropriate building codes.
• Attends monthly safety classes.
• Maintains shop equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• 7+ years of experience.
• Good craftsman.
• Good time management skills.
• Able to delegate fairly and effectively.
• Has good communication skills, and is able to listen and present ideas and tasks clearly.
• Thorough understanding of shop drawings.
• Flexible and friendly, able to collaborate with, coach, and lead others.
• Excellent troubleshooting ability.
• Able to anticipate needs monthly for multiple jobs.
• Able to successfully resolve conflicts.
• Safety conscious.
• Has a learning mindset.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Understands other areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and welding.
• Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers.
• Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
• Must be able to read and write English in order to review project plans.
• Dexterity of hands to perform tasks required of the position.
• Climb ladders of varying heights.
• Must be able to traverse the production facility.
• Able to work in an outdoor environment under extreme weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
