2003-2005: Founding & Our First Million
The company began in 2003 when Stephen and Brian started renting containers out of a spare bedroom in Stephen’s condo. The small team staged the containers in their friend’s front yard for $10 per container per month. In 2005, we reached a major milestone — $1 million in revenue!

2007: Recognition from MIT
We were invited to participate in a highly selective program: MIT’s Birthing of Giants. This enables fast-growing companies to reach the next level of success.

2012: Worked with U.S. Air Force
We created a one-of-a-kind 700-container simulated city to assist U.S. Air Force combat training at Cannon Air Force Base.

2014: 6 Years on the Inc. 5000 List
We made the Inc. 5000 List for the 6th year in a row, which placed us in an exclusive group of companies with a consistent track record of growth.

2015: Sold Our Rental Business
We sold our regionally dominant rental business to Pac-Van (now United Rentals) to solely focus on manufacturing container-based structures.

2016: Formed an Industry-Wide Container Task Force
We spearheaded the Modular Building Institute’s container task force in an industry-wide effort. Our work with the task force led to the incorporation of shipping containers into the 2021 International Building Code for the first time.

2018: Received Building Code Approval for Our Containers
We became the first in-house container structure manufacturer to receive an Evaluation Service Report (ESR) from the International Code Council (ICC), approving our structurally sound containers for use in buildings.

2020: Earned Modular Manufacturer State Certifications
We earned California modular manufacturer certification and then our Texas certification shortly after. These two certifications became the first of many state approvals in the coming years.

2022: Doubled the Size of Our Manufacturing Facility
We expanded our facility — doubling its size and tripling its production capacity — allowing us to create bigger projects faster than ever.

2023: Celebrated Our 20th Anniversary
We marked 20 years of growth and success with our team members and customers who’ve helped make it happen at a backyard summertime party featuring live music, snacks, and entertainment for the whole family.
