What started as a small rental business has grown into a bold new direction for offsite modular construction. Once Falcon Structures began modifying shipping containers into structures for storage, living and workspace, customers came to us with more and more requests for containers structures.
We’ve since made it our mission to revolutionize the construction industry with modular container-based structures. Falcon now manufactures everything from simple air-conditioned storage units to the building blocks for multi-story sports stadiums. Along the way, our structures have won numerous awards from the Modular Building Institute (MBI).
Falcon became the first in-house container structure manufacturer to receive an ESR, an Evaluation Service Report from the International Code Council indicating that we can provide structurally sound containers for use in buildings. Thanks in large part to the efforts of the Falcon’s co-founder, Stephen Shang, and the MBI’s container task force, ISO shipping containers will be incorporated into 2021 International Building Code as permittable materials.
Going forward, Falcon aims to build on and refine the legal discourse around permitting container-based buildings. A growth equity investment from Trinity Private Equity Group is also helping us cultivate and expand our strong market-share in single-unit container structures like ground-level offices and industrial equipment shelters.
Falcon Structures' trained staff performs each step of production – welding, carpentry, electrical, finish out and painting – in house within our 5-acre manufacturing facility. Each step of our process is segmented into a designated area or “dome.” As the Conex container moves through the domes, the production team performs rigorous quality control checks at each stage. At peak production output we can produce four repurposed containers a day.
Thanks to our state of the art manufacturing facility, customers can expect:

It comes down to asking ourselves what exactly a shipping container is. On one hand, it’s a just a steel box; on the other, it’s an opportunity to build something new. The remarkable strength of its frame and the security of its corrugated walls can become the basis of everything from apartment complexes to pantry space for food banks. When a customer comes to us with a problem, we Think Inside the Box® and remember the incredible diversity of solutions offered by ISO containers.
